The avalanche prevention and forecasting system is quite complex in terms of production and algorithm development, but it is simple for users and the visual style created had to be understandable and memorable.
Snow42 is a project of two amazing entrepreneurs who are inventing a whole system to prevent avalanches.
Overview
Creating the brand style was not so easy but very exciting
By the time the project started, I had a lot of experience working on the visual style in technically complex projects, but this project was still special.

As always, I started with analyzing the information and thanks to this, I learned a lot about how avalanches are formed, why they are so dangerous and how to minimize the damage they cause.
The work began with the creation of a logo: a clear, easy to remember and scalable logo was needed, of course, evoking associations with snow.

The name Snow itself has a very interesting origin: Founders are huge fans of science fiction novelist Douglas Adams' and his novel The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Where 42 is the answer to the question of life, the universe, and everything.
Visual Identity
A very unusual colour palette that is not associated with snow
The most important thing was to maintain a visual connection with the mountains and snow, but at the same time stand out from other companies.

Avalanches are the most dangerous natural phenomena, they are incredibly destructive and unpredictable.
That's why the project uses the Panamanian golden frog colour palette, which is known for its strong poison, despite its small size and outward harmlessness
Typhography
Here is used very simple and common font, which can also be suitable for interfaces. So it was decided to make universal typography for both digital media and marketing materials.
Inter is typeface that easy to read and it used for a wide range of applications, from detailed user interfaces to marketing & signage.
